The aspiration power that you need from your hood depends on the size of your kitchen. You can work out the level of performance you require with a simple calculation, multiplying the volume of the room by 10. 

For Example: for a kitchen measuring 3m x 4m with a height of 2.7m:  

(3 x 4 x 2.7) x 10 = 324
